I’ve been reading a couple of books on the subject of the causes of poverty and the poverty of nations. The one thing that comes through to me loud and clear in these books is that Biblical values lead to economic systems that work to raise people out of poverty. Those economic systems that are successful in raising countries out of poverty also fall apart when those Biblical values are lost.
